Ukraine Reacts After Russia Accuses It of Carrying Out Deadly Attack That Killed Over 100 Civilians

In a firm rebuttal to accusations, Ukraine has once again dismissed claims of its involvement in the recent attack near Moscow.

According to Sky News, the denial comes amidst allegations from the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) that individuals linked to the Crocus City Hall shooting were attempting to flee to Ukraine and had established contacts within the country.

Russian President Vladimir Putin echoed the FSBโ€™s allegations in a national address, referencing the incident as part of his speech to the Russian populace.

However, in a pre-recorded interview with Reuters, conducted shortly before President Putinโ€™s remarks, Andriy Yusov, a representative from Ukraineโ€™s Main Directorate of Intelligence, categorically denied these assertions.

โ€œThis is, of course, another fabrication by the Russian special services, devoid of any connection to reality and unable to withstand scrutiny,โ€ Yusov stated.

Yusov further emphasized Ukraineโ€™s stance, clarifying that the nation was not involved in the said terror attack. โ€œUkraine is actively defending its sovereignty against Russian aggression, focusing on reclaiming its territory and engaging with military targets of the occupiers, not civilians,โ€ he asserted.

The ongoing conflict has been marked by a series of complex narratives, with both nations presenting differing accounts of events. This latest development adds another layer to the intricate tapestry of information emerging from the region.
