To strengthen Nigeria’s electric vehicle infrastructure, Qoray, a leading electric mobility solutions provider, has launched a new EV charging station at the Marriott Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.
According to a statement obtained on Thursday, the station, located at Car Park B2 within the hotel premises, is now fully operational and open to the public. It offers a convenient and secure charging point for EV drivers frequenting one of Lagos’ most prominent hospitality and business hubs.
Speaking on the launch, Qoray CEO, Olabanjo Alimi, said, “We are proud to bring Qoray’s clean energy solutions to a prime location like Marriott Hotel. Our goal is to reduce the barriers to EV adoption by building accessible and dependable infrastructure in the places where people work, stay, and play. This station isn’t just about convenience, it’s about empowering individuals and businesses to make greener choices.”
According to the statement, the new installation features a DC fast charger, catering to both current EV owners and potential adopters. It aims to serve hotel guests, event attendees, and commuters along the Ikeja GRA and Airport Road corridors.
The location provides an opportunity to charge vehicles while lodging, dining, or attending conferences, offering a seamless integration of travel and sustainability.
General Manager of Marriott Hotel Ikeja, Mr. Lakshmanan Ramanathan, emphasised the hotel’s commitment to eco-friendly solutions.
“This partnership with Qoray aligns with Marriott’s global commitment to sustainability and innovation. By offering EV charging on our premises, we are not only enhancing the guest experience but also supporting a shift toward environmentally conscious travel. We welcome all guests and Lagos residents to take advantage of this new amenity,” he said.
Qoray continues to encourage property owners, businesses, and local governments to collaborate in building a nationwide EV charging network.
