Coal City Film Festival announces 2025 edition

The Coal City Film Festival (CCFF) has announced its 2025 edition.

The 2025 edition of the indigenous film festival is scheduled to take place between March 27, 2025 and March 29, 2025 in Enugu.

The festival’s founder and director, Uche Agbo, expressed excitement about the diverse range of films selected for this year’s event.

The 2025 lineup includes feature films, documentaries, short films, and animations from talented filmmakers across Nigeria, Africa, and beyond. The films were carefully chosen based on their storytelling, technical excellence, and cultural relevance.

With the theme, ‘Homecoming for the Vulture’, the festival aims to celebrating legends and fore-runners of the industry and also creating a mentorship opportunities for emerging filmmakers.

According to Uche Agbo, “Coal City Film Festival has continued to serve as a global platform for filmmakers to showcase their talent, engage with industry stakeholders, and celebrate African storytelling. The 2025 edition promises to be our most vibrant yet.”

The festival will also feature panel discussions, workshops, networking sessions, and masterclasses facilitated by top-tier professionals in the industry.

Additionally, the 2025 edition will introduce new industry initiatives aimed at fostering collaborations and investments in the African film industry.
