Christian and Muslim leaders have been enjoined to be united and hold the government accountable for the management of the nation’s resources.
International Secretary of the Ecumenical Synods of Bishops, Archbishops, Apostles, and Senior Clergy in London, Archbishop Osazee Williams, made the call in an interview with Sunday PUNCH.
Reflecting on the past, he stated that religious institutions once played a crucial role in shaping moral behavior and managing the nation’s wealth effectively.
Archibishop Williams highlighted the importance of teaching good governance from both the mosque and the church to avoid division by religious sentiments.
He said, “We need to unite as religious leaders, whether Christians or Muslims, and have a common voice for the wealth of the nation. We are all one and one Nigeria.”
