BREAKING: ‘Very political’ – Moghalu tells Tinubu to reshuffle cabinet

A former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Kingsley Moghalu, has asked President Tinubu to reshuffle his cabinet.

According to him, this would help to restore investor confidence in Nigeria and improve the economy.

Moghalu made this appeal in an interview with Arise Television on Thursday.

“To restore confidence, President Tinubu needs to reshuffle his cabinet because one of the reasons that investor confidence disappeared was the process of appointing his cabinet, it was too slow.

“Then when it made the announcement, it was largely a very political type of cabinet, and investors were hoping for something more technocratic to deal with the crisis at hand,” he said.

He further suggested that President Tinubu should establish a dedicated Economic Advisory Council to provide guidance on more effective economic management.
