According to reports, the body of Mr. Taiwo Olugbaye, the driver of the Apostolic Faith Group of Schools in Emure, Ekiti, who was abducted along with schoolchildren, has been discovered and buried. His family identified him, and his body was found in the wilderness. He was shot by the captors in the jungle, and then the pupils were let free.
Tosin, the eldest daughter of Mr. Taiwo Olugbaye, disclosed in a Punch article that she received a call informing her that her father’s death had been discovered when she was at the market. She claimed that the boxers he wore, the silver band on his finger, and the Ankara fabric he always wore let her identify the body.
In her words: “When I saw the body, I knew it was my dad, I saw the pair of boxers inside the Ankara cloth that he put on. When he loved a cloth, he would always wear it until the cloth faded. He had a silver ring on one of his fingers; the ring was there on him and the cloth. That was how we could find that it was our dad’s dead body”.
