Paul Omotosho, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, has passed away.
According to reports, Omotosho succumbed to a brief illness in the early hours of Wednesday.
Sources close to him revealed that the seasoned politician from Imesi-Ekiti had been actively engaged in various political meetings as recently as Monday.
On Tuesday, he began to feel unwell and was swiftly taken to a government hospital in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, where he eventually passed away.
It is noteworthy that Omotosho had previously been kidnapped in July 2023 and was released after five days in captivity.
