The Sokoto State Ministry of Health has reiterated its readiness to collaborate with individuals and corporate organisations wishing to contribute towards the growth of the health sector in the state.
The State Commissioner for Health, Hajiya Asabe Balarabe, stated this on Monday while receiving the keys to a Hilux vehicle repaired by the Young Pharmacists Group Sokoto in her office.
The commissioner urged organisations and associations in the state to always complement the government’s efforts, especially in the area of rehabilitation of healthcare facilities for the benefit of the people of the state.
Thus, she commended the Young Pharmacists Group for the giant strides and urged others to emulate.
“Let me use this medium to call on individuals and corporate organisations in the state to always support the government’s efforts in the area of rehabilitation of healthcare facilities in the interest of the people of the state.
“I commend the young Pharmacists group for this giant stride while calling on other professionals and individuals to follow their footsteps”
Earlier, the State coordinator of the Young Pharmacists Group, Pharm Aminu Umar Hamma’ali explained that the group decided to repair the vehicle as part of its contribution to the improvement of the healthcare services in the state.
The coordinator assured of the determination of the group to come up with various activities aimed at further strengthening the healthcare sector in the state.
The occasion was witnessed by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Abubakar Ahmed Walin Gagi; Director-General, Drugs and Medical Supplies Management Agency, Pharm Umar Attahiru and other Directors.
