Prof. Victor Izegbu, together with fellow directors; Mr Olumide Oladapo, Princess Juliana Edewor, Dr Alban Okonkwo, and Mr Edozie Izegbu, have outlined the strategic roadmap for the new MVNO company. It has an agreement with a renowned British MVNO management company to roll out virtual mobile telephony over the next 6 months.
Zegtel has its focus high up, with a strategic plan to spend 30 billion naira over the next 5 years to extend telephone connections to the underserved population.

MVNOs are not a new concept; however, their introduction in Nigeria is a recent development aimed at addressing the needs of the underserved and unserved market, estimated to be between 35-100 million people.
