Vanguard observed that before the passing on of Oba Balogun, Oba Olakulehin has not been attending meetings summoned by the Olubadan in council.

Oba Olakulehin was not seen at the palace of Oba Balogun after the announcement of his death while others were paying condolence visit. He was also not seen at the eighth day Fidau prayer for the deceased king.

Vanguard gathered that Oba Olakulehin has also been absent from about five meetings. Though, there is no official announcement, Vanguard got the hint that the family of Oba Olakulehin has been preventing people from seeing him.

An Olubadan in Council meeting will hold today at the ancient Mapo Hall, Ibadan and will be presided over by Otun Olubadan, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja.

Highlight of the meeting is for members of the Olubadan in council who are also the kingmakers to have discussion with Oba Olakulehin before sending his name to the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde.

A reliable source told Vanguard that the council will want to see the Olubadan designate in person at the meeting.

Although an impeccable source confided in Vanguard that the Olubadan designate is facing serious health challenges, a family member of Oba Olakulehin assured that he will attend today’s meeting.
